Automobile Accident Rehabilitation
Whitewater Physiotherapy provides Automobile Accident Rehabilitation with Clinic or In-Home physiotherapy for injuries sustained in motor vehicle accidents (MVAs).
Mark Peever has extensive experience in the treatment of MVA related injuries, including orthopaedic or neurological trauma and catastrophic injuries. He draws from experience in various clinical settings and has advanced training in the treatment of both musculoskeletal and neurological injuries. He has worked in acute intensive rehabilitation (1991-1996 – Sudbury Regional Hospital, Chapleau General Hospital), publicly funded home-based rehabilitation (1998-2009 – CCAC) and private practice home or clinic-based treatment (2009 to present). Since obtaining his degree in physiotherapy, he has taken many continuing education courses in manual therapy (to E3/V3), mechanical diagnosis and treatment (McKenzie A, B and C), Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT short and certification level, as well as paediatric and motor learning), along with training in the treatment of acquired brain injuries from OBIA (Ontario Brain Injury Association). He has been providing treatment of all types of motor vehicle injuries in Renfrew County and surrounding area since 1998, including multi-trauma, ABIs and spinal cord injuries. He is accustomed to working with all members of the rehabilitation team, and accepts referrals from clients, occupational therapists, case managers, insurance adjusters and lawyers who are involved with the MVA client’s file.
When required, treatment from a physiotherapist’s assistant or registered kinesiologist can also be provided.
Whitewater Physiotherapy is licensed with the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA), and is registered with Health Claims for Auto Insurance (HCAI), so we are able to provide assessment reports and billing/invoices directly to the insurer.
